Prof. Hijazi is the head of the Division of Laboratories & Department of Clinical Biochemistry Hadassah University Hospital, Jerusalem. Prof. Hijazi is also the inventor and founder of Thrombotech Ltd. and Pam-Bio Ltd. Prof. Hijazi, whose particular expertise is in the area of enzymology, the study of enzymes, received his medical education and training in Barcelona, Spain. Currently, Prof. Hijazi’s main focus is the manipulation of Haemostasis, which is the process regulating the cessation of bleeding and keeping the blood within a damaged blood vessel. Prof. Hijazi experience and innovative research place him as a leading scientist in the field of haemostasis. Prof. Hijazi has more than 105 peer review articles and more than 30 patents.
